Canva is a versatile design tool that has been widely adopted by individuals and businesses for various use cases. Users have found Canva helpful in creating social media graphics, resumes, infographics, eBooks, and more. The platform offers limitless built-in templates and media options, making it easy for users to create cohesive and professional external marketing materials.
One of the key use cases of Canva is its ability to help businesses solidify their brand and expand their outreach. Sole proprietors and small businesses use Canva to create images for social media posts, e-mail headers, e-book designs, and PowerPoint slides. It is also used across different departments, including sales, executive offices, and marketing teams, to create content for announcements, event invitations, and community engagement opportunities.
Canva enables businesses to create high-quality designs without outsourcing, reducing costs for lean marketing teams. It is recommended to clients who don't have in-house graphic design capabilities. For example, restaurants use Canva to design menus, event posters, and print marketing materials. Businesses also rely on Canva to create marketing materials such as business Instagram and Facebook posts, logos, banners, and business cards.
Another prominent use case of Canva is in the creation of visual content for ministries and book projects. It allows users to present and promote their content in fun, vibrant, and high-quality visual formats. Canva is used to design blog banners, Amazon A+ banners, web banners, and social media images for book projects.
In addition to these use cases, Canva finds its application in designing ad mockups, graphs, infographics, handouts, flyers, social media visuals, email banners, and more. Its drag-and-drop editor along with various graphics options makes it easy for non-designers within an organization to create innovative presentations or promotional materials.
Overall, Canva's wide range of features and user-friendly interface make it a valuable tool for individuals and businesses alike, helping them create professional-looking designs without the need for extensive design skills or outsourcing.
Users commonly recommend upgrading to the pro option of Canva for social media managers and teams looking to ensure consistent branding across the Internet. Canva Pro is considered a cost-effective alternative to Adobe products, especially for smaller businesses with a lower budget. It is also suggested to try Canva for free to create custom designs and stay on brand. Canva is seen as an ideal tool for basic design work, logo creation, and creating social media graphics and web designs. Users suggest utilizing Canva to quickly generate images for digital campaigns and regain control over branding. Canva is recommended as the ultimate solution for companies without a graphic design department or individuals who want to create images quickly without relying on Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator. For teams and companies that are not design-heavy, Canva Pro is recognized as an inexpensive and user-friendly option. Canva for Work is suggested for centralizing brand guidelines and creating social media posts or graphics. Users recommend accessing the tutorials provided by Canva for learning how to effectively use the platform and advise checking the license agreement for $1.00 stock photos before usage. While Canva cannot replace more advanced design software like Photoshop, it is still considered a valuable tool for those with basic graphic design skills. Lastly, users recommend ensuring that the team knows the appropriate colors and fonts to use and uploading logos in PNG format for easy integration.

(1-25 of 80)Canva...Not-Your-Basic-Design-Software
- Collaboration - it's easy to share your design with your team members
- Design library - Canva has a ton of great stock photos, icons, videos, fonts, and patterns all pre-loaded and ready for you to use. Their search function works well to find these materials.
- Templates - The sky is the limit when it comes to creativity and what you're able to build within Canva, but you don't have to be a graphic designer to use the software. You can easily create slideshows, presentations, flyers, etc - with their templates.
- Brand kit - upload your logos, colors, fonts, etc so all of your designs are on brand.
- Sharing and downloading - you can post directly to your social media accounts from Canva or download your materials in a variety of file types
- The search function for photos needs to be expanded. It would be great to click the "view more like this" button and have it filtered to photos that look exactly like that one. Currently, it'll only take you to more photos by that same photographer, which is the most helpful.
- Being able to resize elements like shapes would be great. Sometimes I need a specific sized rectangle and it's really hard to find one that's already built.
- Sometimes things don't completely line up, even if I use the "align" tools.
- Additional text editing options - adding superscript, additional bullet points, etc
Discovering the Power of Canva
- prensentation
- social media posts
- layer management: Currently, the layer management system in Canva can be confusing for some users, especially for complex designs. Improving the layer management system, for example, by adding the ability to easily hide and show layers, could make the design process smoother for users.
- typography options: Canva has a good selection of font options, but some users would like to see more advanced typography options, such as kerning, tracking, and baseline shift, which would allow them to achieve more professional-looking designs.
- More customizable templates: While Canva has a large library of templates, some users would like to see more customization options, such as the ability to create custom templates or save custom elements to reuse in future designs.
Canva - When the design turns irresistible
- It helps you find the right design and helps you start with the right template
- It helps in creating for all platforms, basically you need to create the design only once and Canva takes care of the rest by resizing the design for whichever platform you want to publish it to.
- It also comes with a content planner which is extremely helpful for obvious reasons. It relieves you from the hassle of posting when the right time hits.
- There's a Brand feature which is also extremely fascinating as it helps you store all your brand information (even color) at the same place.
- Even though the content planner is good, it still could be more user friendly. I bet you'll struggle you way around when you use it for the first time.
- The mobile app of Canva hogs up resources and does not work properly on a low end Device. It also lacks some features hence the desktop app is recommended for large scale uses.
- Canva has an overwhelming number of graphics and templates, and most of it are insanely similar to each other. This overuse of design sometimes causes ambiguity in deciding on the best choice for the design.
Canva makes anyone a creative!
The program is priced extremely well and is accessible to nearly everyone from corporations to small businesses. Additionally, the company is always implementing new features and fixing any small issues or needs of consumers. Canva is always looking to the future and to more integrations with existing software or platforms.
I was especially impressed by their stock video selections and images. These do NOT cost extra like Adobe products but are perfectly acceptable for many applications though Adobe's stock video is often higher production quality. However, Canva's offering are still quite impressive for a presentation, other internal use or a smaller business. Personally, I love Canva and reccomend it to everyone to up their professional output.

Canva - For Everyone

- Drag and Drop Editor
- Canva’s learning curve is designed to be very gentle
- Ease of use
- Not good for photo editing
- Inserting a table is not that easy
- Output formats are limited
- When you select a template of a particular size, let's say 16:9, you cannot resize this later after you start working on it

Making us all Designers
- Designs that meet specs (Instagram image, social banner photos, etc.).
- Brand consistency: Especially since we saved our colors etc. within the software.
- Making designers out of those without traditional design skills.
- It's hard to find images, etc. to use without a Pro account—you can't sort by the free images. We ended up purchasing the Pro account because we needed access to additional features.
- The designs are basic. It still helps to have a creative eye so that you can differentiate your products.
- Sharing designs among team members is slightly cumbersome, but once you figure it out, works well.
I love Canva!
- Great selection of templates for any type of design
- Stock Image library on the pro version is fantastic value for money
- I love the animations and effects you can use on text and images for presentations
- Music library is also great for video!
- I have never needed to contact support myself, but have heard they can improve on that
- Honestly, I can't find anything which I feel they need to improve

Canva | An innovative Online Design tool
- Templates & Designs: Canva features over 8,000 free templates for over a hundred different design kinds (from social media posts to business cards.) The templates are elegantly designed. Canva Pro and Enterprise customers have access to an additional 100,000 designs as well as a variety of stock pictures, graphics, and videos. A Brand Kit option is included in both the Pro and Enterprise memberships, which lets you build and maintain a visual identity.
- One-Click Image Resize: If you like a design but want to utilize it in a different format? The Magic Resize tool will help you achieve that. You may scale any design to meet the width and height you require with this premium-only feature.
- Large varieties of Images Graphics: Canva has a large library of stock images, icons, and videos that can be used for content creation. It has affordable graphic design tools which one can use while making videos and ads.
- Supports many Formats and Storage: Jpeg, gif, png, pdf, and SVG are all acceptable image formats. You may also submit videos in the following formats: MOV, gif, or MP4. Individual files and total uploads for both videos and photos are limited in size. Can customers with a free plan get up to 5GB of total upload capacity, but premium accounts get up to 100GB. Members of the Enterprise plan get limitless storage.
- A lot of premium-only features: The image resizes tool is a premium feature. There is a limitation in storage for free signups. And a lot of images, stickers, and videos are pro.
- Can't create Unique Elements: You can't conjure elements in Canva. These are pre-made designs and design enhancers like lines, frames, icons, shapes, and stickers that you may use in your works. You can only utilize the ones they provide. Colors and sizes can be changed, and they can be rotated and moved about, but that's about it.
- Photo editing options are limited (Canva seems more design-focused): Canva includes picture editing capabilities, but it lacks the power of programs like Photoshop and can't do heavy-duty stuff.
- There is a chance of repetition in the popular design templates since a lot of businesses use Canva.
Get it. Learn it. Review it. Improve it.
- User interface is easy to learn.
- The offering of templates with preset dimensions is great.
- The Canva community has a Facebook group that is great for questions and feedback.
- The mobile app is very clunky and has tended to misformat my designs when moving from device to device.
- The customer service I received when asking about help with the mobile app was prompt but wasn't essentially helpful or beneficial. I received a professionally worded "It is what it is at the moment".
- For a service that is geared toward social media as one of its main uses, I would expect them to use social media more often, in a variety of different ways, to exemplify its product [insta stories in particular], not just share articles and tutorials but really giving us an authentic glimpse of the people/team at Canva.
- Webinars. Need webinars.
Quick one-off projects from a mobile device isn't great for using Canva.
- Creating blog creatives.
- Creating social media contents.
- Managing branding collaterals.
- Working on designs collaboratively across the team or the organization.
- They should introduce the concept of layers to give more freedom in designing.
- They should add more elements in their directory.
- They should improve the file organization system inside the dashboard.
1. Small teams.
2. Small business owners.
3. One person agency.
4. Growth hackers.
Canva is not well-suited for:
1. High-end graphical contents
2. Multi-layered complex graphical contents
OBSESSED with how easy this was to use!
- Social media content
- GIFS & Movies
- Logo design
- Sometimes software bugs up and needs to be reloaded
- Better support and optimization for mobile
Create appealing and creative ads through this software
- Ample of creative templates for Flyers, Posters & Banners.
- Attractive and User friendly Interface.
- Regular Updates and supports big Applications Like Instagram, Twitter and Facebook.
- Less Cloud Storage In Free plan atleast It should be of 10gb.
- Animation and vector design is missing.
Customize your designs with Canva
- Provides attractive templates according to the user needs
- A lot of options for Elements, images, text style to style your design for free
- Able to export the work to PDF or image format in a single click
- Nothing much to dislikes but It would be nice if canva was more user friendly in mobile web browser, as navigation is bit difficult while designing in mobile phones
Canva Can Produce for Smaller Businesses!
- user friendly interface
- multiple high quality layouts
- easy customizability
- saving frequently so nothing gets lost
- Some pretty basic fonts are missing from the database, which proves to be annoying when trying to stay on brand
- Pre-grouping sections of templates can be a hassle to figure out
- Creating your own template from scratch can have it's hiccups, but that could be my lack of design experience.
- Provides readily accessible approved fonts and colors for our university publications.
- A great selection of templates to select from.
- Lots of resources for design, like photos, clip art, backgrounds, and other design elements.
- The ability to share your design with others at the university.
- The ability to download your design as a png, pdf, jpg, svg, even MP4 video or gif.
- Easy to edit and alter the design and not lose what you had by creating clones of previous designs and then make the changes.
- I have a hard time coming up with any improvements, perhaps increase the number of free elements to use in design.
- Maybe, Canva should check if you start editing a previous document to see if you want to change the current design or create a new one as a clone of the current document (design).
- I'm sorry, I really can't think of a 3rd. Overall, I really like working in Canva.
The best tool for quick & beautiful designs
- Offers plethora of beautiful templates to use
- Very user-friendly, doesn't require any previous knowledge
- Resizing is super-simple, as is creating designs from scratch
- Organization of assets within Canva could be better
- It would be awesome to connect its database of photos with database of icons, to make designing even easier
Creativity served to non-creatives.
- Enhances visual communication.
- Time efficiency.
- Ease of use.
- Shareability.
- Online tool only.
- UI design could be polished.
Canva is my go-to graphic tool for everything!
- Professional quality
- Beautiful graphic images
- Brand building for my company
- Built-in features for every graphic need
- Sometimes the background remover doesn't remove everything I hoped for, so it would be nice to be able to select image elements
Canva Design
- The tutorials are easy to understand and provides live examples to apply what you have just learned.
- There are several templates and colors to chose from.
- These are strengths for those of us that do not have any design experience. It makes it easy and joyful to design and keep designing.
- I do wish it had some more folder options on the free subscription to better organize created documents.
Canva: Usability, Variety and an Unbeatable ROI
- Canva exports in a wide variety of software extensions in exceptionally high quality images. The pro license even allows .svg and background-less exports.
- Canva's pro license has a terrific set of available fonts that are easily matched or are exact matches to other web fonts. Basically, in a word, Canva gives its (pro) customers an easy-to-use and cross-compatible set of design options. Everything is customizable.
- For me, Canva shines in its usability. There are variety of preset, pre-sized canvases. As a designer, marketer, presenter, educational technologist or even if you are just getting started, Canva has its UI and UX geared toward each level of user.
- Canva's strengths are with its original features and the fact that even the most novice user can produce a professional looking design in little time.
- Canva has recently introduced online presentations and website options, both of which could stand for improvements. To elaborate: the presentation/video templates and interfaces are slightly more difficult to navigate.
- Again, Canva's newest user options attempt to make "going to the web" easier. Unfortunately, even the most rudimentary export struggles to display. It would seem that there are no auto-scale/different display modes built into the scripts in the software. I managed to find a way to cut out the code not only for the very bothersome logo and then re-size the display output; however, I don't fancy that every Canva user will either a) want to take the time to do this; or, b) have enough coding experience to make it work for them.
- Again, Canva has recently introduced some potentially great features, namely the website and online presentation (native to the software) templates. Sadly, these two features fail in their intended executions. Perhaps I am too much of an advanced user and maybe novice users will find these features more user-friendly. The issues are two-fold: even with the pro license, the URL and presentation mode display with a huge Canva logo in the corner. As an advanced user, I was able to resize the presentation and find the code for the 'Canva' logo and snip it out. However, I doubt that what I imagine is a large portion of the Canva market share (i.e. plug and play novice users) will be able to make such adjustments.
